Washington D.C. : 2012 Cherry Blossom Festival

I was very excited to go to Washington D.C. to photograph the Cherry Blossom Festival this week since it was the 100 year anniversary of the trees being given to us from Japan.  Well, it turns out that the mild winter made everything bloom early and I missed the beautiful cherry blossoms by just a few days! It also didn’t help that rain had rolled in over the weekend and a strong wind followed on the day I showed up.  Oh well, I made the best of it and went to a few of the monuments that I’ve wanted to see for some time now such as the World War II Memorial.  Here are some of my favorites…
